HubSpot has launched an official connector for Anthropic’s Claude so you can chat with your CRM context directly in Claude and get charts, summaries, and next-step recommendations grounded in your HubSpot records. It’s available now for all HubSpot tiers with a paid Claude plan; setup takes a few minutes; and the connector is read-only today.
HubSpot became the first CRM to ship a native Claude connector, letting marketers, sellers, and service teams ask plain-language questions and visualize answers (charts/graphs) with HubSpot context—without exporting data or building custom scripts. The big win: faster insight loops, grounded in the data your teams already trust.
Availability & pricing snapshot
Who gets it: Any HubSpot tier.
What you need: A paid Claude subscription (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise).
Where it works: Claude web, desktop, and mobile.
Security model: Permission-based access; users can only see what they’re allowed to see in HubSpot.
You can:
Ask Claude questions about contacts, companies, deals, and tickets (plus their associations), and get summaries and visualizations to speed decisions.
Keep data access scoped by existing HubSpot permissions so reps only see what they should.
You cannot (yet):
Edit HubSpot data from Claude. The connector is read-only; Claude won’t take actions directly in HubSpot. Use insights to guide what you do next inside HubSpot.
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Browse connectors.
Find HubSpot → Add to your team.
Click Connect next to HubSpot and sign in with the HubSpot account you want to use.
Back in Claude, you’ll see the connector available across web/desktop/mobile.
In a chat, click Search & tools (bottom-left) and toggle HubSpot on.
Permissions tip: The first connection should be done by a Super Admin (or someone with App Marketplace permissions). After that, other users can connect with their own HubSpot logins. knowledge.hubspot.com
Pro tip: Use Claude Sonnet 4 and turn on Extended Thinking for deeper analysis.
“From last quarter’s email sends, list contacts who opened but didn’t click, group by persona, and visualize as a pie chart.”
“Show Marketing Qualified Lead volume by source month-over-month this year and recommend 3 experiments for the weakest source.”
“Compare lifecycle stage conversion rates Q1 vs. Q2 and surface cohorts with biggest drop-off.”
“Summarize open deals by stage due this month with owner, amount, close date; flag risks where last activity >14 days.”
“List stalled deals (no movement in 21 days), add top 3 next actions for each based on last notes.”
“Create a chart of win rate by segment for the last 6 months; call out anomalies.”
“Show open tickets by priority and average time to first response this month; recommend 3 changes to reduce backlog.”
“Compare resolution approaches across chat vs. email and highlight patterns linked to higher CSAT.”
Read-only scope: Contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and their associations. No edits, and no custom objects or engagements (for now).
Permissions respected: Users only see data they’re allowed to access in HubSpot.
Data usage: Anthropic doesn’t use your HubSpot-shared data to train models except in specific opt-in scenarios; review your Claude plan terms.
Localization & routing: Requests are routed through your HubSpot data center; once in Anthropic, your Anthropic terms apply.
Auditability: HubSpot admins can review connector activity in audit logs.
Claude connector: Great for fast, grounded analysis in a conversational flow, especially when you value concise, structured summaries and on-the-fly charts.
ChatGPT connector (HubSpot Deep Research): Strong for long-form research that also respects HubSpot permissions as a data source. Many teams will keep both and use each where it excels.
Have a Super Admin connect the account; publish a 5-minute Loom for your team showing the toggle.
Standardize five starter prompts per team (use the list above).
Set a weekly “Insight Review”: top 3 findings from Claude + the HubSpot changes you made because of them.
Track outcome metrics: time-to-insight, campaign optimizations, pipeline coverage, and ticket backlog trend.
This connector won’t magically fix messy data, but it dramatically lowers the time from question → answer for your GTM teams—and that compounds. Start narrow, templatize your best prompts, and let the habit do the heavy lifting.
Need help? We’re a HubSpot Partner—happy to set this up, define prompts by role, and train your team on insight-to-action workflows.
